Winter Support Groups
General Peer Support Group for Eating Disorder Recovery
Our general peer support group is open to individuals struggling with any eating disorder, and a formal diagnosis is not required to participate. These groups are meant to complement formal mental health services and/or medical treatment, rather than replace these services.
Peer Support Groups are facilitated by Hopewell volunteers who have experience and/or education in group facilitating and/or in the area of eating disorders. While there is a general structure to each week, the facilitator works with participants to include topics of discussion relevant to their recovery journey.

Striving for Balance: A Recovery Group for Overachievers
This group offers support for individuals with eating disorders, focusing on the challenges of perfectionism, high standards, and stress. Discussions will address the pressures of achievement-driven lifestyles and their impact on food, body image, and self-worth. Members will explore self-compassion, stress management, and strategies to break disordered eating patterns while fostering a healthier relationship with food and their bodies. The group also provides a space to connect with others facing similar challenges.
