Become a facilitator with Hopewell

We are always open to connecting with new facilitators

We offer flexible scheduling and an opportunity for you to use your skills and talents to make a difference in the community. To facilitate with us at Hopewell, we ask that you have the following:

  • a degree in health discipline, counsellor, psychotherapist, psychologist, HAES dietitians, social workers, occupational therapists

  • are in good standing with a professional body

  • can obtain a clear vulnerable sector police records check

  • experience facilitating support groups (mental health or eating disorder-specific group experience, an asset)

  • knowledge and understanding of eating disorders as well as recovery challenges & barriers

  • are comfortable using Zoom video platform for virtual groups OR are able to travel to the Eastern Ontario Region for an in-person group

  • BIPOC Support Group

    Additional facilitator requirements:

    • is a self-identified member of the BIPOC community

    • additional but not required: experience working within the community

  • Binge Eating Support Group

    Additional facilitator requirements:

    • additional but not required: experience specializing in binge-eating

  • 2SLGBTQ+ Support Group

    Additional facilitator requirements:

    • is a self-identified member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community

    • additional but not required: past experience working within the community

  • Over 40+ Support Group

    Additional facilitator requirements:

    • additonal but not required, specialized research or work on eating disorders and menopause

  • Larger Bodies Support Group

    Additional facilitator requirements:

    • self-identifies as being in a larger body

    • additional, but not required, experience running/research a larger body support group
