Words of Care: Powered by Parson Refrigeration

Everyone is invited to share words of affirmation, encouragement, or remembrance. These messages will be transformed by a local artist into a collective word‑art poster, a symbol of care, connection, and community. Once complete, the poster will be unveiled and shared with our wider community as a lasting reminder that no one is alone, and that together we can create visible proof of support and belonging.

Why we are doing this

Many people struggle in silence with eating disorders, disordered eating, or complicated relationships with food, body, and self. In fact, research shows that up to half of Canadians report engaging in disordered eating behaviours at some point in their lives. This initiative is a reminder that whether those struggles are visible or hidden, you are part of a community that cares. By coming together, we create a visible symbol of compassion and connection, one that speaks to anyone who has ever felt isolated or unseen, and affirms: you are not alone.
