Become a facilitator with Hopewell
We are always open to connecting with new facilitators
We offer flexible scheduling and an opportunity for you to use your skills and talents to make a difference in the community. To facilitate with us at Hopewell, we ask that you have the following:
a degree in health discipline, counsellor, psychotherapist, psychologist, HAES dietitians, social workers, occupational therapists
are in good standing with a professional body
can obtain a clear vulnerable sector police records check
experience facilitating support groups (mental health or eating disorder-specific group experience, an asset)
knowledge and understanding of eating disorders as well as recovery challenges & barriers
are comfortable using Zoom video platform for virtual groups OR are able to travel to the Eastern Ontario Region for an in-person group

Additional facilitator requirements:
is a self-identified member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community
additional but not required: past experience working within the community

Over 40+ Support Group
Additional facilitator requirements:
additonal but not required, specialized research or work on eating disorders and menopause

Larger Bodies Support Group
Additional facilitator requirements:
self-identifies as being in a larger body
additional, but not required, experience running/research a larger body support group
