Virtual Art Therapy Group | Wednesday's

from $0.00

Facilitated by Toronto Art Therapy Institute (TATI) students, this support group is a creative space for self-expression, problem-solving and collective healing. Participants are invited to engage in self-discovery through art-making. Working towards increasing creative and emotional tolerance, beginning to shift perspective and encourage authentic expression.

Specifically when living with eating disorders & body image concerns, we can feel distanced from our essence of being. Art is an expressive form of therapy where we can realign with this part of ourselves. Art therapy is a very collaborative process where all participants are invited to share their goals, boundaries and personal needs with the group. We all contribute to building this brave space, to support each other in our individual journeys of self discovery.

As a semi closed support group, we will be meeting via Zoom every Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, starting on August 5th, 2026. Participants can register for this group at any point and join in on the first Wednesday of each month (Aug 5th, Sept 2nd, Oct 7th, Nov 4th) to ensure a safe and complete onboarding process. Once participants are integrated into the group, they are welcome to continue for as long as they wish, without having to re-register to the support group. Our intention is to alleviate the stress of the participant having to attend every week and removing an extended break before the next group starts. Please contact our Programs Coordinator (programs@hopewell.ca) for more information.

Art materials are provided - 1 week before you join the group, we ask that you coordinate a time to pick up your Art Kit at Heartwood House (404 McArthur Avenue). If transportation is a barrier, please contact our Programs Coordinator (programs@hopewell.ca) to arrange an alternative delivery option.

At Hopewell, we understand the financial challenges that can come with accessing mental health support. Our mission is to fill the gaps in care by offering accessible programs. To make our programs as inclusive as possible, this group is priced at $50, which helps us cover the cost of materials. If cost is a barrier to your participation, we offer a pay-what-you-can option
