Art Therapy Peer Support Group
Facilitated by Toronto Art Therapy Institute (TATI) students, this support group is a great opportunity to connect with your creative side through various instructor-led art modalities while sharing a (virtual) space with peers who have similar experiences. It can help you develop self-compassion, acceptance, and a feeling of empowerment.
This group is designed to complement, not replace, services such as counseling, therapy, or in-patient care. As a closed group, we will be meeting via Zoom every Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, starting on June 24th and running for 10 weeks, concluding on August 26th.
All materials are provided - 2 weeks before group begins, we ask that you coordinate a time to pick up your Art Kit at Heartwood House (404 McArthur Avenue). If transportation is a barrier, please contact our Programs Coordinator (programs@hopewell.ca) to arrange an alternative delivery option.
At Hopewell, we understand the financial challenges that can come with accessing mental health support. Our mission is to fill the gaps in care by offering accessible programs. To make our programs as inclusive as possible, this 10-week support group is priced at $80, which helps us cover the cost of materials. If cost is a barrier to your participation, we offer a pay-what-you-can option (please email programs@hopewell.ca), and all services are free for individuals identifying as Indigenous, First Nations, Métis, or Inuit/Innu.
