General Peer Support Group

from $0.00

Our support groups meet weekly to provide a space for giving and receiving peer support, sharing information, and exchanging resources. The group is participant-driven, meaning members can help shape the discussion topics and share what feels meaningful to them in the first week (within a safe scope). This informal network connects individuals with shared experiences including but not limited to food, weight, body image, offering an opportunity to explore the various factors that may influence disordered eating, as well as celebrate personal milestones in recovery.

This group is designed to complement, not replace, services such as counseling, therapy, or in-patient care. As a closed group, we will be meeting via Zoom every Tuesday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, starting on October 29th and running for 8 weeks, concluding on December 17th.

At Hopewell, we understand the financial challenges that can come with accessing mental health treatment. Our mission is to fill the gaps in care by offering accessible support. To make our programs as inclusive as possible, our 8-week support group is priced at $50, which helps us sustain and expand our services. We also offer a pay-what-you-can option, and all services are free for individuals identifying as Indigenous, First Nations, Métis, or Inuit/Innu.

For any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Catherine, Hopewell’s Program Officer, at programs@hopewell.ca.
